We have several skilled and Licensed Massage Therapists that are PASSIONATE about facilitating healing with a variety of therapeutic modalities in their professional toolbox. The benefits of Massage are vast. We believe however, that the #1 benefit to therapeutic massage or bodywork is the AWARENESS that comes when an individual can truly focus on what is going on their body… the obvious tight shoulders, the inconspicuous “ropey” sternocleidomastod, or the tight masseters of a overly clenched jaw are often not that obvious when they are all added together. When your therapist focuses on each muscle from attachment to attachment your AWARENESS is heightened, and your therapist can encourage further action that may counter the physical decline that comes from misalignment, imbalance, inflexibility, and overall physical effects of STRESS.

Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy

The emphasis in Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy is to help resolve the trapped forces that underlie and govern patterns of disease and fragmentation in both body and mind. This involves the practitioner “listening through the hands” to the body’s subtle rhythms and any patterns of inertia or congestion. Through the development of subtle palpatory skills the practitioner can read the story of the body, identify places where issues are held and then follow the natural priorities for healing as directed by the patient¹s own physiology.

Neuromuscular Therapy

The therapist trained in Neuromuscular Therapy is aware of the nerves that can become trapped within tight muscles, groups of muscles, or pinched in the misaligned spine. Thoracic Outlet Syndrome, Carpal Tunnel, Sciatica are all examples of ailments that may benefit from a release of the muscles that can be part or the whole of the problem.

Therapeutic Massage

A combination of Deep Tissue and Trigger Point Therapy. Therapeutic massage penetrates tense muscle tissue to relieve deep muscle pain, discomfort, muscle spasm, and stress. The goal is to improve the rate at which the body recovers to its own optimal health.

Craniosacral Therapy

CST is a gentle, hand-on method of evaluating and enhancing the functioning of a physiological body system called the craniosacral system – comprised of the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord. Using a soft touch generally no greater than 5 grams, or about the weight of a nickel, practitioners release restrictions in the craniosacral system to improve the functioning of the central nervous system. Particularly effective for migraines, TMJ and injuries.

Thai Yoga Massage

We have several Thai Yoga Massage Practitioners and Therapists that provide 60, 90, and 120 minute Thai Massages. During the session the client is fully clothed and massage is performed on a cushioned floor with bolster and pillows to assist in comfort while the body is passively moved into a series of yoga stretches and massaged along energy points. Therapist may use hands, elbows, feet and body to deliver variations in pressure and manipulation. The perfect massage for someone new to yoga, athletes, or tight bodies that are not used to movement.

Geared for athletes and used primarily to prevent injuries and prepare the body for athletic activity. Helps athletes recover from workouts and injuries, and maintain optimal condition. Increases flexibility and relives muscle soreness and range of movement and shortens recover time between workouts. Can include facilitated stretching, joint mobility, and can also be coupled with deep tissue, myofascial release, and/or positional release.

Myofascial Release

Fascia, which is the connective tissue that is in-between individual muscle fibers, muscles, and groups of muscles as well as holds all of our viscera in place, can like a spider web full of flies, become tangled and can contribute to inflexibility, misalignment of the spine, gastrointestinal sluggishness, and muscle spasms to list just a few problems. Myofascial Release uses little to no oil or cream and assist the fascia in letting go of irregular holding patterns and tension.

Deep Tissue Massage

Deep Tissue uses more pressure than most other techniques. Release severe tension in the muscle and the connective tissue. Recommended for individuals who experience consistent pain, are involved in heavy physical activity (such as athletes), and patients who have sustained physical injury. Its focus works to release chronic muscle tension or knots.
