Jessica Julian, LMT has practiced yoga since 2000 and got Reiki I certification in 2002. She did not go deeper into bodywork until after studying literature and psychology and pursuing a career in Social Work. As a talk therapist, she enjoyed the therapeutic relationship, but felt there was something missing in the treatment of trauma and addiction. Her own experience with vicarious trauma led her to leave that field and seek a new kind of healing in the form of Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy (BCST) and Massage Therapy. The opportunity to become a bodyworker herself came in 2010 when She began studying BCST with Gary Peterson, RCST at his STAR institute. She entered the accelerated Massage Therapy program at Tri-C in 2011. Most recently she also became certified in Northern style Thai Yoga Massage. Jessica is very passionate about healing work that involves the body, including massage, energy work, yoga, and meditation. Her understanding of how stress and trauma store in the body and how the body and nervous system resolve them drives her practice. She has an eclectic approach often combining Swedish and Deep Tissue work along with Thai techniques, stretches and BCST. In her personal time Jessica enjoys being an active musician in local bands, traveling and cooking with locally grown produce.
Jessica Julian is currently not instructing any classes.
